S c e n a r i o SalonsConnect needed a sophisticated e-commerce solution that provided ordering and transaction processing capabilities between manufacturers, distributors, salons, and salon customers. S o l u t i o n Because of the unique structure of this industry, GCM created a four-tier B2B/B2C system from the ground up. Manufacturers, distributors and salons have the ability to setup their own storefronts and populate product databases all through a browser-based interface. All industry participants, including end-user consumers, have the ability to interact with the system using wireless modems on the PalmOS, utilizing AvantGo server technology.
